Overview

This application helps you to learn the Thai consonants, vowels, diphthongs and numbers in a series of graded packs, from 1 to 39.

Consonants are presented using their traditional names. Vowels and diphthongs are presented in the context of common words. To see an explanation of the vowel or diphthong pattern in a given word, click on the "Explain" link. This will also show other words using the same pattern

To start, click the "Close" button (below), and then click on the "1" to start at level 1.

Navigation

To move between the cards click on the "Next" button. Touch or click on the loudspeaker symbol to hear the pronunciation.

Options

The "options" page allows you:

• To select whether the cards are shown in random order (default) or alphabetic order
• To select whether the audio is played when you flip a card. (Default: no)
• To select whether you'd prefer a female, male or random male/female voice.
• To select your prefered font, or use a random font for each card.
• To enable "autoflip" and set the delay. Depending upon your browser, either set the slider to your preferred delay, or enter the delay in the box. Permitted values are 0-10 seconds, in half second increments. Setting the value to 0 (default) disables autoflip.

Close
